I am so glad to see this. At least he has become aware of the nasty habit and may do something to overcome it. It was distracting (to say the least) for those of us who watched the tournament.

Bradley is a very fidgety golfer. That in itself, is distracting enough, but when he started spitting every few seconds while pondering a shot - well, way over the line.
I hope his efforts to curb the habit don't affect his overall game.
Wasn't even aware he was doing it. So many golfers have habits, almost impossible to break. Like Furyk, lining up a putt, getting over it, ready to putt, then backing away and going through the whole routine again. Drives me up the wall, but it's his nervousness.

It really was hard to miss on Sunday - especially since the announcers made a point of discussing it. It's a series of small spits, like a balky drinking fountain. And, as I mentioned in other posts, he does have that same twitchiness as Furyk, practice swings, backing off, more practice swings.
And, to repeat myself:) - I hope trying to get the spitting under control doesn't ruin his game.

It won't, he's a pretty prodigious talent. It seems to run in that family.

Maybe he can see a spit whisperer.

He is a nice looking young man with a great game, watching him spout like a fountain was . . . well, just icky. Then he topped up right away with a slug from a water bottle. His mom must have been having fits when she saw that.
That's a shame... I saw him do it a couple of times but I wasn't really watching it... I know what you mean though... I have seen presenters constantly sipping water from a bottle at conferences and it's really annoying. Even doing it mid word... how did we get to such a state where we can't go 2 minutes without hitting the bottle? Marketing I suppose.

I think Keegan is just highly strung. He is young and he did a heckuva job keeping himself together under the stress of a must-make birdie and a 3-way playoff. I think the spitting thing is just nerves.
What I find hilarious is he did it during the PGA Championship last year, which he won, and no one noticed it!
